In 2015, the community of Bocana de Tawa, Nicaragua and Project Schoolhouse collaborated to construct a spring-fed gravity-flow water system. This system will deliver water to every home in the community which is hugely beneficial in terms of health, economic development, and education.
This community sits on the shore of the Tuma river at the very end of a year-round road, which made the transportation of materials somewhat easier that in year’s past. The community of 34 families worked all year to build this system.
